A man has died after emergency services were called to an incident on the A14 near Ipswich.
Officers were called to the westbound carriageway near the Whitehouse turn-off at about 6am on Good Friday.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said the East of England Ambulance Service and the air ambulance were also called to the incident.
A man was pronounced dead at the scene, the spokesman confirmed.
The A14 was closed in both directions while emergency services attended.
Both carriageways were reopened at about 8am on Friday.
