A Rushmere man has been ordered to pay out more than £600 after driving in public without insurance.
Shane Minchin, of Blackdown Avenue in Rushmere St Andrew, near Ipswich, was sentenced at Manchester Magistrates' Court on February 27.
The 41-year-old had been charged with using a vehicle on a road when there was not a policy of insurance in place.
This was in relation to an offence on August 3 last year in High Street in Wigan in Greater Manchester, in relation to a Vauxhall Zafira.
The charges were brought against him by Greater Manchester Police.
The case was dealt with through the single justice procedure, which typically deals with more minor summary offences that are not heard before a crown court.
Minchin was ordered by magistrates to pay a fine of £369 in the hearing.
He was also told to pay a victim surcharge of £147, as well as costs of £90 – making a total of £606 to pay.
His licence was also endorsed with six points. His guilty plea was taken into account when sentencing.
