An Ipswich road will be closed while urgent resurfacing works take place.
A stretch of Defoe Road will be closed near Thomas Wolsey Ormiston Academy between 9am and 3.30pm on Tuesday, April 2 and Wednesday, April 3.
Ipswich Buses has confirmed that while the road is closed, its 9 and 10 service will be diverted.

Defoe Road will be closed on 2nd & 3rd April 2024 from 9am to 3pm, during the closure service 9/10 🚌 will be on diversion.

Route 9 will be diverted from Defoe Road, right onto Shentone Drive, left onto Dryden Road, right onto Fircroft Road then back onto the normal route.
The diversion route for route 10 will be the opposite to route 9.
While the road is closed, Suffolk Highways will be carrying out urgent works – including carriageway resurfacing.
