A 23-year-old man from a village near Ipswich has been banned from the roads after he was caught drink driving.
Thomas Leney, of Park Farm in Hintlesham, appeared before Telford Magistrates' Court in January this year.
He was charged with driving a motor vehicle while above the alcohol limit on the A442 at Telford in Shropshire on December 5 last year.
According to a court listing, the vehicle was a Ford Fiesta and the level of alcohol was 89 microgrammes per 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit for driving in England is 35mcg.
Leney was handed a driving ban of 17 months, which can be reduced by 17 weeks should he complete a safety course by December 9.
The defendant was also handed a fine of £120 and was told to pay costs of £135 and a victim surcharge of £48, meaning the total he will have to pay is £303.
