Drivers are being warned after a huge sinkhole has opened up near Ipswich town centre.
The defect was spotted in High Street close to Ipswich Museum on Tuesday afternoon.
On Facebook, many have advised caution when going past the sinkhole.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk Highways said: "We have been made aware of the large defect in the road along High Street, Ipswich.
"The area has been made safe and sectioned off with barriers until investigations have been completed to determine the cause and next steps.
"An update will be issued as soon as further information becomes available."
