Two businesses in the Ipswich area have been named among the best in the UK as they were shortlisted for national awards.

Oak House Farm in Sproughton and The Artisan Smokehouse in Kirton, near Felixstowe, have been shortlisted at the Farm Shop & Deli Show Retailer Awards 2024. 

The Artisan Smokehouse has been shortlisted in the best online business category and Oak House Farm has been shortlisted in the best butchers category.

Judge Matt Whelan, MD Fieldfare which champions the Retailer Awards, said: “We are delighted to champion the Farm Shop & Deli Show Retailer Awards. What a great experience to be a member of the judging panel. 

"Having the opportunity to see so many fantastic independent retailers, reviewing the many approaches they take to delivering a wonderful experience for their shoppers, was both a pleasure and challenge."

The winners will be announced on Monday, April 29.
