A teenager from Ipswich has been instructed to pay out more than £500 after he was caught trying to get the train from London without buying a ticket.
Petru Sandu, of London Road, appeared before Barkingside Magistrates' Court at the end of last month.
The 19-year-old was charged with boarding a train without a valid ticket on June 24 last year at Stratford railway station in London.
He was fined £220, and told to pay compensation of £32.90, a surcharge to fund victim services of £88, and costs of £175 – an amount totalling £550.90.
