A new Ipswich gym will be open 24/7, it has been confirmed. 

JD Gyms has revealed its new state-of-the-art facility, at Suffolk Retail Park in London Road, will feature some of the industry's best equipment. 

The 20,000 sq ft gym will include one of the area’s largest free weights zones, Eleiko functional zone, sled track, dedicated glute area and saunas in the luxury changing rooms.

Hundreds of classes will also be on offer. 

It is expected to open its doors in early summer 2024. 

Managing director of JD Gyms, Alun Peacock, said he was looking forward to opening the new gym at the retail park in several months' time.

He said: “Ipswich is a fantastic location for us and we're excited to expand the JD Gyms brand into Suffolk for the first time.

"We’re incredibly proud to be creating such a high standard of fitness facility for the people of Ipswich."

Potential new members will be able to receive a first month, £5 discounted place.
