The 100-day countdown has begun to the Suffolk Show - which this year will be focusing on the many careers on offer in the agricultural sector.
The county's biggest two-day spectacular takes place at Trinity Park, Nacton, Ipswich, on Wednesday, May 29, and Thursday, May 30.
Visitors can expect another thrilling ride - filled with entertainment and discovery.
They will be able to experience what a day on the farm is like, meet local farmers, and learn more about skills and careers in agriculture Farm4Future zone.
Children can meet farmyard animals in the Farm Discovery Zone, and the popular Farming Live area returns to showcase giant machinery in action with the story of sugar beet.
Familiar favourites around the 300-acre show site include the Adnams Food and Drink Experience which will be packed with more than 80 artisan producers - many new to the show.
Boutique retail therapy will be on offer at Dummett Copp Fifth Avenue, and the Sports Zone will host action-packed ‘have a go’ activities.
Among the highlights this year will be a new display by the Bentwaters Parks Trinity Ring as the show prepares to commemorate 80 years since the Second World War D-Day Normandy landings with the iconic Spitfire making an appearance.
A packed schedule in the 12 competition rings includes family favourites such as the Shetland Pony Grand National and Mascots Race in the President’s Ring.
The RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team and the Red Devils Army Parachute Display Team will be dropping into the Collin’s Grand Ring on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
Show director John Taylor - a farmer from Woodbridge - will be organising the event for the second of his three-year term. This year he is joined by deputy show director Brian Barker, a farmer from Stowmarket.
“The 100-day countdown to the Suffolk Show is one of the most exciting times of the year for us – the time to start crossing the days off our calendars in preparation for the county’s biggest celebration," said John.
“We’re incredibly proud of Suffolk’s agricultural heritage in providing food for the nation, and even prouder to be able to celebrate it with an impressive level of variety that the show is famous for.

The show is organised by farm charity the Suffolk Agricultural Association (SAA) which delivers a wide range of educational programmes throughout the year.
