A 10-year-old who had spent three years growing out his hair has now cut it off, donating it to help other children.
Before the chop Layton Barry's hair had grown to over 13 inches.
The Ipswich schoolboy wanted to do something for charity that creates wigs for children around the country and decided to have 11 inches chopped off.
The wigs are designed by Little Princess Trust to give to children for free, to help raise their confidence should they lose their hair.
Layton said: "I wanted to cut my hair to make an unwell child's day.
"When I had it cut, I was so shocked because of how short it is, but I am very happy I have done it so another child can have a wig."
He had his hair cut at Adam & Eve in Ipswich, by barber Harry Cobbold.
Layton and his mum Danielle thanked the owner Nick and the staff at the barber, who did the haircut for free.
Layton has said he would do it all over again to help more children, and his mum, Danielle, said: "I'm proud he made this decision and wanted to do this, and I am happy he is helping other children."
