Applications for musicians to perform at a major multi-venue Ipswich music festival in the summer have officially opened.
The Brighten The Corners Festival will return this June and once again take place across five different locations in the town.
The festival will be held on Friday and Saturday, June 14 and 15, and will take place in The Smokehouse, The Baths, St Stephen's Church, The Corn Exchange and the Cornhill.
Last year, huge crowds enjoyed the festival over the two days in the sun, while the festival was shortlisted for a national festival award.
A member of the Brighten The Corners team has said: "The Apply To Play is a really exciting and fundamental part of Brighten The Corners Festival.
"It gives the opportunity for emerging regional artists to play on our biggest capacity stage at the festival, which is open to the general public for free and has a brilliant atmosphere.
"It’s one of our favourite parts of BTC, we are always blown away by the amount of applications we receive and the quality of the acts.
"We are also delighted to be partnering with First Light Festival in Lowestoft from June 22 and 23.
"This means that by applying to BTC Festival you will also have the option to apply to play their New Dawn Stage."
The first acts have been announced for this year's festival, including British tuba player and composer Theon Cross, indie rockers Coach Party, Mercury Prize nominee and Grace Jones collaborator, Dave Okumu with band The 7 Generations and indie trio The Orielles.
Applicants will be picked by the BTC team, and the deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday, March 4 and Brighten The Corners invites solo, duo and full band acts to apply.
