An Ipswich IT support company has ramped up its growth plans after moving to a new office.
Lucid Systems has relocated to the newly established Blue Sky Business Centre in Hintlesham from its previous base at Felaw Maltings.
The move follows a successful period for the business during which it has grown its client base and staff numbers significantly.
The new office has been kitted out to its exact specifications to allow for a better collaborative working space for the team while resolving clients' IT issues.
It includes formal breakout areas, as well as virtual and physical meeting room spaces - enabling the company to work more closely with clients in person, as well as through state-of-the-art video conferencing.
The base remains close to the A12/A14 corridor - allowing for easy access to clients in Suffolk, as well as in Essex and Norfolk.
Managing director Craig Debenham said the move has been a long time coming.
"As a company, we've grown hugely and experienced huge levels of success over the last few years. We've secured global accreditations from Microsoft and ISO, and we've expanded into new areas of IT support, including the launch of our Lucid Installations team," he said.
"We needed the new office - not just to solidify our success - but to give us a significant base which will enable us to keep growing.
"We're hugely ambitious, and our new office location gives us the space we need for new staff members to join us and new services to evolve."
The firm - which celebrates its 15th year in business this year - has grown from a company offering predominantly helpdesk services to a much more strategic operation, he said.
"Now, much of our time is spent providing consultancy services, advising local businesses on how they can maximise their IT investment by transitioning to cloud-based services to help them grow their business," he said.
"It's incredible to witness how vibrant our local business community is and see first-hand how having the right technical platform in place can really elevate productivity and efficiency."
Its Lucid Installations services - launched three years ago - has been a key factor in its growth.
The installations team provides telecom and data cabling services for clients, ensuring they have the right infrastructure in place for their IT systems.
As well as prioritising cabling diagnostics and installations services, the team can also improve internet and network connectivity for businesses and individuals living and working in rural areas.
“The addition of our Lucid Installations team in 2021 was in response to local demand for better connectivity," said Craig.
"There are significant challenges of working in rural areas, especially if you are reliant upon national networks for phone or internet connections.
"But thanks to our expertise, we’ve been able to support local businesses, helping to identify improvements which have kept them better connected, and discover improved ways of working.
"Our new office space will be hugely beneficial to continue expanding this side of our business as well as our IT support services.”
The firm is looking to recruit engineers to join its team.
