Proposals have been submitted to convert a garage block in east Ipswich into a two-bedroom bungalow.
Ipswich Borough Council has received a planning application from Bennetts (SA) LLP on behalf of the applicants for the site in Cauldwell Hall Road.
Planning documents submitted alongside the proposals say the applicants want to create a "modern" home and are looking to downsize.
The documents added: "The existing building can be readily converted into a single storey dwelling based on these dimensions without alteration to its form or scale and there is sufficient scope within the existing height to accommodate the necessary floor insulation and finish to meet current building regulations.
"In summary, the proposed dwelling is sustainably located and does not require substantive change for its construction.
"Although a conversion of an existing building, it sits comfortably on the site without impact or disturbance to adjacent dwellings or any loss of amenity of the existing block of flats."
Ipswich Borough Council sets an eight-week deadline for decisions on planning applications it receives.
