Proposals have been submitted to add an extra bedroom to a house of multiple occupancy (HMO) in east Ipswich.
Foxearth Homes Ltd has applied to Ipswich Borough Council seeking permission to make changes to the HMO at 63 Woodbridge Road in the town.
In planning documents submitted to the local authority, the applicant says the HMO, which already consists of seven bedrooms, would be expanded through the relocation of the kitchen to the property's communal lounge.
This would then allow for one extra en-suite bedroom to be created, taking the number of bedrooms in the HMO to eight.
The application for the Woodbridge Road HMO is the latest the borough council has received over the last few months.
Last month, proposals for a 21-bedroom HMO in Nelson Road, further down Woodbridge Road, were submitted for consideration by planners.
Community leaders have also expressed hopes to force all landlords looking to open smaller HMOs to get permission from the local authority.
Ipswich Borough Council sets an automatic eight-week target on all applications it receives.
