A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a serious crash in Ipswich.
Suffolk police was called to a crash on Woodbridge Road, near the junction with Belle Vue Road, at about 10.40am on Thursday.
The crash involved a black Audi and a male motorcyclist, who is in his 60s.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said that an ambulance and rapid response vehicle were sent to the scene.
The motorcyclist has been taken to Ipswich Hospital by ambulance having sustained injuries considered to be serious, a Suffolk police spokesman said.
Road closures remain in place but they are expected to be lifted shortly.
Police would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision and any motorists travelling in the area with dash cam are asked to check their footage.
Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to contact the Roads and Armed Policing Team at Suffolk police, quoting CAD 84 of February 1.
