Plans have been submitted to Ipswich Borough Council to make changes to the Ravenswood Neighbourhood Centre Car Park in the town.
The local authority has received plans to install three information signs and two directional signs in the car park which serves various shops including Ladbrokes, Coop and PureGym.
These are for electric vehicle (EV) charging points in the car park, which would be installed.
In total, seven parking spots will be created, while 13 parking spaces would be lost with the installation of the charging units and signs.
The charging points would be operated by Gridserve, and directional signage would be put up at the car park entrance.
Ipswich has seen a number of plans submitted for EV charging points in a series of the town's car parks in recent months.
