The Orwell Bridge may close today as strong winds continue to hit the county.
National Highways has confirmed it may have to shut the A14 bridge, south of Ipswich, on Wednesday amid Storm Jocelyn.
At the moment, the bridge remains open with a reduced speed limit.
A spokesman for National Highways said: "At this moment the Orwell Bridge remains open however we will continue to monitor the wind speeds in the area and may close the bridge for safety reasons should they increase."
It comes after the bridge was closed at 12pm on Sunday during Storm Isha.
This resulted in drivers being diverted through Ipswich, causing traffic delays.
The bridge reopened on Monday morning.
