An independent hair salon in Ipswich has announced its closure "with a heavy heart" after more than 30 years of business.
Baiss & Co, on St Peter's Street, closed its doors earlier this month, with managing director Simon Blowers starting "a new chapter" from January 9.
The salon, which has been open for 34 years, closed due to challenges in the industry and rising costs.

Mr Blowers said it was with "gratitude and a heavy heart" that he announced the closure, and thanked every stylist and beautician that has been a part of the business, as well as his clients from all walks of life he has met over the years.
He added that he cherishes his memories of seeing young talented people blossom into stylists, along with the events he has attended, including the House of Baiss production at St Nicholas Centre.
Mr Blowers is continuing his passion for "making people feel amazing" at Hers and Sirs hair salon in Chelmondiston.
