A former Ipswich motorcycle showroom is set to become a kitchen for a Suffolk event catering business after the plans were approved.
A planning application, made to Ipswich Borough Council and received on September 18 last year, was approved on Monday, January 22.
The application was for a change of use for the 250 square metre site on Alan Road, near Holywells Park, from a motorcycle showroom to a commercial kitchen.
The plans were made by Joe Howgego of Ripe Events and the building will be used for food production and preparation for the event catering business.
Commercial ovens, refrigeration and cooking equipment will be used, and a commercial air extraction system will be put in place for the purpose.
Any further works planned for the property will be made following approval of the change of use application, and changes would be primarily cosmetic work planned for the inside of the site.
The two parking spaces will be retained, according to the plans.
The site, currently empty, was formerly Davey Bros Motorcycles.
