There were long delays on the A12 near the Copdock Interchange outside Ipswich after reports of a crash.
According to the AA Traffic Map there was heavy traffic in the area as a result of the incident at about 8am on Tuesday.
It was not clear how many vehicles are involved.
Suffolk police was approached for a comment.
