A redundant building on a farm near Ipswich is to be converted and extended after plans were granted for four new homes.
Babergh District Council has approved plans for four new homes to be built on Grove Farm, situated between Holbrook and Ipswich.
The redundant agricultural building will be converted and will also have parking spaces, road access and gardens, and will be in keeping with the existing aesthetic at the farm.
When the plans were submitted in July, the application stated that the proposal provides a "comprehensive phase of improvement for the site, transforming neglected, outmoded farm buildings into modern family homes which take full advantage of the sites potential and outstanding location"."
In order for development to start, further plans and details need to be submitted.
These include a construction management plan and drainage schemes, and improvements to the existing access to the site needs to be 'properly surfaced'.
Work on the site must begin within three years.
