Poundstretcher is set to move into the former Wilko premises in Ipswich town centre, it has been confirmed.
The national retailer closed its doors in Upper Brook Street on October 5 after the chain collapsed into administration.
Months of attempts to find a buyer for Wilko failed to come to fruition, meaning all stores across Suffolk were forced to close.
It has now been confirmed that Poundstretcher, as well as its sister brand The Pet Hut, will move into the unit at 28-32 Upper Brook Street, next door to Sainsbury's.
The new store will open its doors to the public on Friday, January 26.
Shahid Kissay, regional director for the firm, said: "We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of our new Poundstretcher store in Ipswich, marking the successful transformation of our 5th former Wilko location.
"Additionally, we are pleased to welcome former Wilko employees who have enthusiastically joined our expanding team across the country. Our commitment to providing affordable products for all is reflected in our extensive range of half-price, multi-buy, and star deal offers on top-notch branded products.
"The ongoing success of our exciting Big January Sale, happening nationwide, adds to the anticipation surrounding our Ipswich store opening."
People will able to get their hands on £250 of vouchers on the opening day, while the store will also be hosting a charity trolley dash.
Mr Kissay added: "Our dedicated team is working diligently to ensure an exceptional shopping experience, delivering outstanding service and creating an enjoyable environment for both existing and new customers.
"We anticipate a massive turnout for our opening day event, featuring an action-packed morning, so we encourage everyone to arrive early and not miss out on the excitement."
The store will open to customers at 10am.
Poundstretcher also has stores in Felixstowe, Lowestoft, Stowmarket and Haverhill.
It comes after the Wilko store in Bury St Edmunds was listed for purchase.
