From today, you can say a big, public thank you to the unsung community heroes who make our county special.
Friday marks the launch of the first ever Stars of Suffolk Awards. The awards have been ongoing in Norfolk and Waveney for several years, and have now crossed the border to our glorious county.
Nominated by you, this is the chance to pay tribute to those who go above and beyond to help others, but whose efforts all to often go unpraised.

EADT editor Liz Nice said: "Suffolk has the best people in the world as far as I'm concerned. Kind, decent folk who will do anything for anyone and never expect any reward.
“I do feel, however, that it is a lovely thing to give some recognition to those who continually go above and beyond to make their community a warmer, safer and nicer place to be, and that's what Stars of Suffolk is all about. One great big thank you from all of us.
“We are urging as many of you as possible to nominate your colleagues, neighbours, organisations and groups who have gone the extra mile by nominating them for an award. Think about the people around you who really deserve and a big pat on the back and send us your nominations.
“It will make their day."
The headline sponsor for Stars of Suffolk is Mediterranean Shipping Company (UK) Limited.
