There could be fewer places to get a pizza delivered to your door in Suffolk after reports a big chain could be closing down stores nationwide.
As many as 100 Papa Johns stores could disappear across the UK out of the 524 locations currently operating.
Suffolk has nine stores in Bury St Edmunds, Felixstowe, Haverhill, Ipswich, Lowestoft, Mildenhall, Newmarket and Stowmarket.

Papa Johns has declined to comment on how many stores will be closing as "no final decisions have been made at this time".
A spokeswoman for the pizza chain said: "As our second largest global market, the UK is critical to Papa Johns long-term success.
"As we work to fully optimise our restaurant operations and improve profitability across the market, we will continue evaluating the growth potential of our restaurants.

"This includes working collaboratively with our franchisees to strategically close low-performing locations, when necessary, as well as continuing to invest in the right locations for the benefit of our customers.
"We will work to fully support team members through any transitions."
Back in 2023 the chain closed 22 of its restaurants but opened new ones in 15 locations.
