A busy road leading to and from Ipswich town centre has been closed this morning, causing delays for drivers.
Highways have closed Sproughton Road, close to the Bramford Road junction, after a water leak caused disruption on Saturday.
Emergency maintenance work is well underway with crews currently on the scene.
The road is to remain closed while the work is completed, engineers working on the repairs at the site revealed.
However, it is predicted to reopen later on Sunday.
The AA traffic map said there were delays in the area, with the nearby Aldi and Morrisons supermarkets expecting a busy day in the build up to Christmas.
Sproughton Road is notorious in Ipswich as regular flooding has made parts of it impassable for drivers and other motorists whenever heavy rain falls.
It is worst affected by the railway bridge, which often sees standing water start to pool underneath after bouts of rain.
Sproughton Road connects the A14 outside of Ipswich to Bramford Road, which leads to and from Ipswich town centre.
