An Ipswich road was closed for repair works earlier today.
Sproughton Road was closed by Suffolk Highways in order to carry out emergency repair works on three defects along the road.
Witnesses in the area said the road was closed in both directions and there was no access to Bramford Road.
The road reopened this afternoon.
