Cash and power tools have been stolen from cars in Ipswich as a spate of thefts continue.

Officers are appealing for information following the incidents, which took place in Felix Road and Ribbans Park Road.

At around 4.15am on Wednesday, November 29, thieves smashed the window of a vehicle parked in Felix Road and stole a quantity of cash and ID.

The following night, a mitre saw was stolen from a vehicle in Ribbans Park Road after a rear window was smashed.

It comes amid a rise in thefts from vehicles reported in Ipswich.

Suffolk police revealed last month that nearly 400 vehicles from vehicles had been reported in the town between February and October.

Targeted patrols have been launched by the force in a bid to crackdown on the number of incidents.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Suffolk police quoting crime reference 37/68984/23 for the Felix Road incident and 37/69222/23 for the Ribbans Park Road theft.
