A chance to meet Santa and Rudolph tonight has been cancelled due to traffic caused by the closure of the Orwell Bridge.
The event, run by Ipswich Greyfriars Round Table, was due to set of from the Golden Hind pub in Gainsborough at 6.30pm.
Posting on social media, a statement said: "With news that the Orwell Bridge will not be reopening today and the sheer amount of gridlocked traffic around Ipswich at the moment, Rudolph will not be able to make it from his stable."
"We are working our hardest to find another night, as you know every night is booked up."
The Orwell Bridge will remain closed tonight after an inspection vehicle for the overnight roadworks broke down.
The next date to see Santa and Rudolph is on Monday, December 4 at the Bell Inn in Grange Farm at 6.30pm.
Organisers of the event will be raising money for Cancer Campaign in Suffolk and other local charities.
Donations can be made via a bucket collection, online, or via card payment.
