Work to repair a huge sinkhole in a busy Ipswich road is underway.
On Monday part of Foxhall Road started to sink near to the junction with Derby Road.
Suffolk Highways coned off part of the road until Anglian Water arrived to investigate.
A full road closure has now been put in place while repair works are carried out.
The road is expected to be closed for two weeks.
A spokeswoman for Anglian Water said: "Our team is currently repairing a sewer on Foxhall Road.
"In order to keep our team and other road users safe while we work, we have needed to close the road.
"We’re working hard to fix the sewer as quickly as we can, but this is a complex repair, so we’re expecting the road to stay closed for about two weeks.
"We know that this is inconvenient, and we’d like to thank our customers for their patience while we carry out this emergency work."
A diversion route has been placed while the road is closed.
