Two Indian restaurants have won national awards in the 'Oscars of the curry world'.
The Asian Curry Awards cover the complete range of Asian and Oriental cuisines including Bangladeshi, Chinese, Indian, Japanese and Middle Eastern.
Lime Indian Takeaway, in Valley Way in Newmarket, took home the award for Takeaway of the Year.
Jilani, in North Street in Sudbury, won an award for Newcomer of the Year.

Over 200 venues from across the country were shortlisted for the award before members voted for finalists online.
The winners were determined by a panel of judges from the Asian Catering Federation.
The Chequers Indian Lounge in Ipswich was also a finalist in the national awards, and won a highly commended for Asian Restaurant of the Year in the East of England.
The restaurant in Ipswich won National Chef of the Year and Chef of the Year for the East Anglia Region in the Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards 2023.
