A vegan café has launched its first roast dinners ahead of the festive season.
Chestnut and Rose opened its doors in Penzance Road in Kesgrave earlier this year, with owner Sarah Pearsons having initially started out by making and selling grazing platters from home.
With their first anniversary almost upon them, Sarah believes customers have enjoyed their experience.
"It has been a fantastic year," said Sarah. "I think every single season brings a new challenge.
"It has been really well received. Although what we use is all vegan we are really a community space all week.
"Not only are we supported by the vegan community but in Kesgrave there is also range of people. It has been a really nice place for people to meet and get together."
Ahead of the festive season, they are launching their first roast dinners, as well as other vegan goods ready for Christmas.
The two course menu includes ‘beef’ seitan wellington or stuffed butternut squash, served alongside a Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, maple roast carrots and parsnips.
Among the vegan goods ready for people to enjoy at their own Christmas dinners are cauliflower cheese and vegan Yorkshire puddings.
Sarah said the venue is nearly fully booked for the first roast dinner on Sunday, December 3, with plans to do more events in the new year.
