The opening date for a highly-anticipated inflatable ball park inside a former nightclub in Ipswich has been confirmed.
Inflata Nation first submitted plans to open a branch in Suffolk in March 2022, proposing to convert the former Unit 17 nightclub in Cardinal Park into an indoor fun park.
After initially planning to open in time for the October half term break, the company was forced to delay the opening for "something special".
It will now open on December 27, it has been announced, with a range of games, obstacle courses and 418,000 plastic balls in pits among the attractions.
Matt and Michelle Ball, the co-founders of Inflata Nation, said: “Months of hard work and dedication have gone into bringing our latest site to Ipswich and we can’t wait to open our doors to members of the public.
“The franchise has been hugely popular in major cities such as London, Glasgow and Manchester, and we firmly believe it will be a smash hit here, too.
“Each of our branches carries our trademark wall-to-wall inflatables with slides, ball pits, obstacle races, gladiator podiums and balance challenges.
“We have no doubt that it will raise the bar for leisure attractions not only in Ipswich, but across Suffolk and beyond.”
The new play park will create 35 jobs, the owners of the business have said.
Among the attractions also set to feature at Inflata Nation are a large bouncy 'bubble' section, an assault course and a dedicated area for visitors under four years old.
The venue will be available to book for birthday parties and other events.
