Plans have been submitted to convert an existing five-bedroom house of multiple occupation (HMO) to one of eight with the build of an extension near Ipswich town centre.
Ipswich Borough Council received the plans to convert this property, situated in Grove Lane, to an eight-bed HMO with the demolition of the existing conservatory at the rear of the property to make way for an extension.
The property, 75 Grove lane, is currently used as a five-bedroom HMO with the ground floor having two double bedrooms and a kitchen and living area, and the first floor having three double bedrooms, one with an en-suite, and a family bathroom.

Under the plans submitted, the ground floor would retain the two double bedrooms, with the addition of en-suites, kitchen and living area and an extra bedroom.
The first floor would comprise of two shower rooms, one large double bedroom with en-suite, and four smaller single bedrooms.
Ipswich Borough Council will discuss the plans at a later date.
