Students from a school near Ipswich had the honour of singing at an annual service in one of London's most historical buildings.

The Royal Hospital School's Chapel Choir sang at St Paul's Cathedral in London for the annual national service for seafarers.

The annual service was first held in 1905, with the service and congregation continuing to reflect on the full range of the maritime activities of the nation.

Ed Allen, director of music at Royal Hospital School in Holbrook, said: "At the Royal Hospital School, we are proud of our choir and musical achievements.

"To have the honour of singing at St Paul's Cathedral is a privilege that our school and pupils will remember for a long time to come, and we hope this also inspires our future pupils too."

Royal Hospital School was joined by the choirs of Pangbourne College, The Royal School, and the London Nautical School.

Students from RHS thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
