A teenager who stabbed another youth in an Ipswich park and a man who carried out a £50,000 burglary at a jewellers were among those jailed in Suffolk this week.
Kairan Zamaroni
Kairan Zamaroni stabbed a boy in what was described as "one more in the catalogue of violent incidents which blight the streets of local towns".
Ipswich Crown Court heard how Zamaroni stabbed a 17-year-old in the right side of his stomach, causing a laceration to his liver, in Gippeswyk Park in Ipswich.
Zamaroni, of Poppy Close in Ipswich, admitted an offence of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in November last year.
The 18-year-old has been sentenced to 54 months in a young offenders institution.
Sean Langeland
Sean Langeland, of Eastgate Street in Bury St Edmunds, appeared before Ipswich Crown Court for sentencing this week.
At a trial in July, Langeland was found guilty of three offences of sexual assault and two offences of assault by penetration in respect to one victim, and guilty of two offences of sexual assault and one offence of assault causing actual bodily harm in respect of the second victim.
His victims were teenage girls.
Langeland had previously denied the offences.
The 51-year-old was sentenced to 15 years in jail and was made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for life.
David Dixon
David Dixon has been jailed after two burglaries at businesses in Ipswich.
Ipswich Crown Court heard a metal bar was used to force open the shutters of Andrews jewellers in the Buttermarket on August 9 and jewellery was stolen after a window was smashed.
Prosecutor Juliet Donovan said that £25,000 had been recovered of the £50,000 worth of jewellery stolen during the raid.
A separate burglary also took place at the Kerala convenience store.
Dixon, of Fonnereau Road in Ipswich, admitted two non-dwelling burglaries.
The 37-year-old was sentenced to 24 months in jail.
Rawa Ibrahim
Rawa Ibrahim has been jailed for his role in supplying drugs in Ipswich.
Ibrahim, of of Avondale Drive, Hayes, admitted being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine.
The 23-year-old was arrested on June 19 at his home in London after police had secured a search warrant and found a mobile phone that was believed to be used in a county lines operation in Suffolk.
He received a 29-month custodial sentence.
