Plans are being made to demolish three barns to make way to build a new family home in a village between Ipswich and Hadleigh.
A planning application has been submitted to Babergh District Council for the barns at Frogg Hall Farm, The Street, in Aldham.
The development site currently includes three barns that are semi-redundant, used for storing tools, to the north of Tadpole Cottage.
The submitted application shows plans for a "contemporary self build" family home, with four upstairs bedrooms with en-suites, one of which has an attached dressing room, along with a kitchen and family room, hallway, dining room, living room, office space, and utility and bathroom downstairs.
There would also be three car parking spaces at the site, along with a secure space to store bicycles and an electric vehicle charging point.
The home is designed to be the applicant's "dream" long-term family self-build home, while also promoting its "agricultural character".
A decision should be expected on the application, which was validated by the council on October 16, by December 11.
