A new takeaway serving German delicacies has opened in a Suffolk coastal town.
German Street Food opened on October 11 at 49 Undercliffe Road in Felixstowe and serves up tradition German food such as schnitzel, frikadeller, and bratwurst.
Kimberly McConnachie, owner of the business, is half-German and has lived in the UK for the last 14 years.
"The only thing I have missed is currywurst," she said.
The food served is made from family recipes, and one customer from Germany said the food was "not like any other takeaway"
"It's as homely as I can make it," said Kimberly. "We haven't had a single complaint yet."
Despite only opening earlier this month, the business has been much busier than expected and already has five-star reviews on Just Eat, which customers can use to order their takeaway.
Future plans for German Street Food include celebrating holidays and events that are big in German such as Oktoberfest, Christmas and Easter.
For Christmas, Kimberly plans to decorate the building like a mini Christmas market and serve a selection of Christmas specialities such as Lebkuchen, traditional German cookies.
"I'm hoping it will bring more attention," said Kimberly.
German Street Food is open from 12pm-8pm on Tuesdays through to Fridays, and 12pm to 9pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
