A Suffolk singer has just missed out on winning a national TV competition on the other side of the globe.
Charlie Pittman from Holbrook, near Ipswich, reached the final of The Voice Australia after deciding to go on the show to honour his late father.
He was one of four contestants to reach the last stage, but just missed out on winning the whole competition to contestant Tarryn.
Writing on social media after the final, which aired on Sunday morning in the UK, Charlie said: "Thank you to everyone who voted for me and supported me.
"This is just the beginning. I have so much planned don't you worry.
"Love you all so much. Honestly just so grateful for the whole experience."
