A popular bistro on Ipswich Waterfront has launched a new menu - with several choices for vegetarian and vegan diners on offer.
The Waterfront Bar and Bistro in Ipswich was listed as one of the best places to grab some food by Ipswich Marina, one of the most attractive spots in the Suffolk town.
Now the bar and bistro have announced a brand-new vegetarian and vegan menu to cater to a wider group of diners.
"We have always had vegetarian and vegan options on our main menu," said owner Greg Morgan.
"But with the notable change in our diners' dietary requirements, it felt the right time to go the whole way and release an additional menu with only vegetarian and vegan options on it."
The business put a lot of thought and research into the new menu, with a focus on providing something different and delicious from the standard vegetarian fare on offer at the restaurant's competitors.
The menu features three starter and three main course options and will be offered in addition to the regular menu.
As a starter, diners can enjoy grilled peaches with mozzarella, green beans and almonds, while the main option of gnocchi, morchella, romanesco broccoli and toasted cashew nuts is something a little different to the generic vegetarian food on offer and some restaurants.
It was launched two weeks ago and has been really well received by diners at the bistro.
"People are really pleased," said Mr Morgan.
"You realise that the demand has always been there and it is nice to be able to offer a variety of dishes.
"We have always had a vegan option at Christmas and will have a nut roast on offer this year, but are almost fully booked!"
The Waterfront Bar and Bistro is open for food service from Wednesday to Sunday and is taking bookings for Christmas.
