Two men who were involved in a double stabbing incident in Ipswich will be sentenced in December after pre-sentence reports have been prepared on them.
Before Ipswich Crown Court on Monday were Kai Curtis, 22, of Barnard Square, Ipswich, and Patrick Casey, 26, who was living in Dombey Road, Ipswich.
They had denied wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and attempted wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm but on what was to be the first day of their trial on Monday they pleaded guilty to less serious alternative charges of unlawful wounding and attempted assault causing actual bodily harm.
Richard Kelly, prosecuting, said the pleas were acceptable and he wasn't seeking a trial on the more serious charges.
Judge Nicola Talbot-Hadley adjourned sentence on the men until December 1 to allow pre-sentence reports to be prepared on them by the probation service.
Police were called to Waterford Road on October 23, 2017 after it was reported a man had been stabbed in the leg and another man had been stabbed in the torso.
