Civic Pride 'superfans' are looking to spread the love and boost the town in a new feel-good initiative - and they need you to show your support.

A group of dedicated volunteers have been building up the Ipswich.Love community, which is an independent not-for-profit group celebrating the town, its culture and people.

Miranda Acres, Joe Bailey, Ben Driver, Lily Hammond, Marcus Harris Noble, James Kindred, Andrew Laws, Helen Oldfield and Samantha Sherman are among the current team but plan to grow that number and roll out new projects.

Ipswich.Love described themselves as "Ipswichian Civic Pride Superfans".

On its website, it says: "We’re people who want to shout about all the great stuff that happens across the Borough of Ipswich. We’re not just about the town centre or the waterfront – we’re about every single area that makes up Ipswich."

One of its first projects is writing love letters to the town, with anyone encouraged to share what they love most about Ipswich.

Member James Kindred said in his love letter: “There’s lots of good in Ipswich, and people are doing amazing things; only by amplifying good things that are happening and confronting the negativity, unfairness or unwillingness will we be able to help grow the love for Ipswich.

"Ipswich is more than its town centre, more than its Waterfront, more than its football club, more than its University, more than its parks.

"The people of Ipswich are the glue that holds everything together and paint the purpose and character of the town for all to see.

"Our aim is to grow the love and celebrate Ipswich for the good things we can do together.”

To write your own love letter to Ipswich you can go online at https://ipswich.love/ or write a letter in person, by going into the new Emmaus Suffolk charity hub, Carr Street.

Ipswich.Love will also be attending this weekend's Ipswich Weekender celebrations this weekend with a stall outside the former Cult Cafe on the waterfront.
