The owner of Ipswich's new pink shop is ready to design the dress of customer's dreams and show off the skills she has been perfecting since she was a child.
Aynur Aydin has recently opened Mewa tailor and boutique on Upper Brook Street in the town centre.
Mrs Aydin, who together with her husband Ahmet moved from Ankara, Turkey’s capital, to Ipswich in 2015, has been designing and repairing clothes since she was 12 years old.
Back in her home country, Mrs Aydin ran a successful business with her sister, which encouraged her to open a shop in England.
The 40-year-old named the boutique after her daughter and will offer a range of services, including clothes repairs, alterations, as well as curtain replacement.
Mrs Aydin also designs clothes, including wedding and prom dresses.
She said: "I love this job, it’s my lifestyle.
"As my English is not that great, I'm a bit limited at the moment, but I'm going to jump over this as well.
"If you come to me with an idea, I can make the exact same dress. I can also help with any alterations you need."
The shop has gained many loyal customers since opening.
Mrs Aydin, who is a proud mum of two, an eight-year-old daughter and a six-year-old son, always dreamed of having a pink shop, and she designed every part of the place.
The owner added: "It’s been great so far. We didn't expect this, but the shop is doing really well.
"Our customers recommend us to others and also come back if they need any alterations or have an idea for a new piece of clothing.
"They call it a pink shop."
