A café chain has announced plans to reopen some of its stores across the country – but could the one in Ipswich return?

Patisserie Valerie is set to reopen two new stores by this October.

Its store in Cambridge will reopen next week following a refurbishment whilst the café will reopen at Cribbs Causeway retail park outside Bristol in mid-October.

Patiserrie Valerie is also seeking opportunities to open new sites.

In 2019 the chain went into administration as a result of accountancy fraud and immediately closed more than 70 of its stores.

The café closed its doors in Ipswich back in February 2022, and the site has now become Bonbon.

Patisserie Valerie plans to reopen more cafés over the next few months in an effort to reinvest in the industry, it said.
