Motorists using a road which connects two villages near Ipswich will have brace themselves for seven months of roadworks.

Anglian Water will be carrying out roadworks in Grove Hill, Belstead, until March 26, 2024.

According to One Network the roadworks will be taking place in phases with the first phase to end on Monday, September 4.

It is not yet clear if a road closure will be put in place during the roadworks or temporary traffic lights.

The road connects Belstead with Copdock on the outskirts of Ipswich.

While the road closure is in place until Monday, September 4 a four-and-a-half-mile diversion route is in place.
