"Committed, dedicated and resilient" is how teachers described students at schools across the town collecting their GCSE results today.
Those who attend Kesgrave High School were in high spirits as they arrived to pick up their results, with many students getting impressive grades.
72% of students received grade 4 or above in maths and English, with 53% getting grade 5 or above in the same subjects.
Julia Upton, the school's headteacher, said: "This year's group have been resilient, committed and passionate about their learning, we are proud of all that they have achieved."
Maeve Taylor, headteacher at Claydon High School, praised her students for showing "maturity and resilience" as they approached their GCSEs.
She said: "We congratulate them upon all of their successes and wish them well in the next chapter of their education or employment with training."

85% of all grades were at grade 4 or above at St Joseph's College, surpassing the national average pass rate of 68.2%.
35% of all grades awarded were at grade 7 or above, with 6% of all grades attained being a grade 9.
Mr Sacha Cinnamon, deputy principal, said: "Their dedication and resilience, especially in the face of recent challenges, have been truly commendable."

Felixstowe School students celebrated as 55% of them were successful in achieving 4 or above in both English and maths.
Emma Wilson-Downes, headteacher, said: "The past few years have been incredibly difficult for young people and our students have been incredible in rising to the challenges they have been presented with."
Among the students celebrating includes Molly Rimmer, who got eight grade 9s, one 8 and one 7, Harriet Rutterford who got five 9s, three 8s and two 7s and Harry Bolton who got one 9, two 8s, six 7s and one 5.

At Royal Hospital School, 101 grade 9s were attained by students, ten of which went to Molly Nichols from Manningtree.
She is currently on holiday in Spain, and said: "I am so pleased with my results and look forward to celebrating with my family on a sunset cruise this evening."
Jesse Dallas also got great results, being all 9s or 8s. He said: "I am really happy with my results and I look forward to celebrating with family later."
143 pupils took exams at Ipswich School, with 18% of grades attained being 9s, 39% 9-8 and 63% 9-7, and 100% of students gaining a 5 or above in maths and English.
Nicholas Weaver, headmaster, said: "This is an amazing achievement and shows how hard the students and their teachers have worked. We are delighted to celebrate their achievements today."
At Ipswich High School, 10% more pupils achieved a grade 9-8 than last year.
Dan Browning, the school's head, said: "These results are a testament to the hard work and huge talents of a wonderful year group, as well as the support and expertise of their teacher."
73% of students in English and 70% of students in maths achieved grade 4 at Holbrook Academy.
Two stand-out performers included Abiola, who achieved grade 9 in eight subjects and two 8s, and Cerys who received six 9s and four 8s.
Head of school of Chantry Academy, Rick Hanson, said: "We are hugely proud of our class of 2023 and all their achievements.
"I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate them all, along with thanking their parents, carers and all our staff at Chantry Academy for the help and support they have provided."
St Alban's is also celebrating a fantastic set of results, with Emil being the top achiever with 10 grade 9s and a grade 8.
Matt Baker, headteacher, said: "We are blown away by such a positive set of results by our young people.
"The strength of the scores across the subjects has been simply incredible. Congratulations to all our learners."
Students at Stoke High School also celebrated, as principal, Karen Baldwin, said: "This year's results are an outstanding success for our whole academy community – they truly show how hard our students and staff have worked and how high they can achieve."
