New landlords look set to take over a pub on the edge of Ipswich which has been shut for more than three years.
The Wild Man pub in Bramford Road, Sproughton, closed suddenly in January 2020, with Jill Meek and her daughter Marta Luisa Sais, who ran the pub, stating they were "very sad" to see it close.
It has remained vacant since then, with pub chain Star Pubs & Bars advertising the pub for let.
However, after plans were approved to transform the pub, it has been confirmed that new landlords look set to move into.
Proposals to update a number of signs outside of the pub have been given the green light by planners at Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Council.
A spokesman for Star Pubs & Bars said: "I can confirm that we do have someone lined up to take on the lease of the Wild Man."
Documents on the company's website suggest the pub can sit 150 covers.
