New owners have taken over a popular Suffolk cafe after the previous landlords announced that they were leaving last month.
Lucy Decker, Mat McCarthy and their dog Paddy are set to reopen the Milk Shed Cafe in Sproughton after a brief closure following the exit of previous owners Clare and Scott Forrest.
"We've known the previous owners for a little while now and we think it is great what they were doing with this place," said Ms Decker.
"It is brilliant to be following in their footsteps."
The Milk Shed is set to reopen under the new management team on Wednesday, August 23.
The couple intends to keep the Scandinavian-inspired menu, but head chef Mat will add his own flair too.
While new to the cafe scene, the Suffolk-based couple has 45 years of catering and hospitality experience between them.
Ms Decker used to own the Townhouse in Ipswich before she moved to The Fountain in Tuddenham, where she met her partner Mr Decker; she was the general manager there for 10 years, and he was head chef for 16 years.
"It was time to do something for ourselves," said Ms Decker.
There is no official launch party planned for next week.
"We are going to have a soft launch," said Ms Decker.
"We will just open the doors and see who comes in."
That isn't to say that they won't be celebrating - they have plans to have some kind of party once they have properly settled in.
"There's not much to do at all, we are just doing a few paint touch-ups and getting ourselves settled in," said Ms Decker.
"I've been saying that we are sprinkling a bit of Scandi magic!"
The Milk Shed Cafe will reopen on Wednesday, August 23 at 9.30am.
