Ipswich's newest shop has opened in Sailmakers shopping centre, filled with retro items from video games to figurines and enchanting gifts such as crystals and candles.

Retro Realm and the Attic in the Moon opened their new premises in Ipswich on Saturday, August 5, after being in Microshops together previously.

Scott Brand, 46 and Lena King, 49 joined forces with their two businesses to open the new shop, working every day to get the shop ready.

They said: "On opening day, we had queues out the door all the way down the centre, and it was really overwhelming.

"People know we are local, so it is great seeing so many people support us, and we are a different shop so it's good."

Both have said that they now have more space in the shop for more of their stock to be on display.

Scott said: "I've been able to empty one storage shed now, and it gives people a lot more choice.

"The retro board games and toys are selling really well and that is a really big thing.

"The amount of footfall we have had is amazing as well, previously in Microshops it was a big of a struggle due to the area it was in, but here, it's been really overwhelming the sheer volume and interest we have received.

"It's brilliant."

Lena continued: "I have noticed how quickly I am having to replace and replenish my shop.

"Lots of people are asking me to get things in and I am now able to do that and have more room to be able to stock more expensive items.

"I am so glad we did this, and it's nice we went into this together because we get a lot of interest from a range of people.

"It's been really, really good."
