A popular independent shop in the town centre is moving to "bigger and better" premises just up the road.

Miss Quirky Kicks is set to move into the former Barr Personnel unit on Tacket Street in Ipswich.

Lawra Stubbs, owner of both Miss Quirky Kicks and neighbouring shop, Midnight Moon, will open both shops under the same roof.

Lawra's brother, Lewys, who works in the shops, said: "Lawra wanted to move to a bigger and better space for ages, and this one opened up and everything fell into place.

"There will be a few extra surprises in there as well but that's all for the release date."

The shop is currently going through the process of getting the shop sorted and moving things over, with the logo in the windows of the shop currently.

An opening date for the new shop is yet to be announced, with Lewys saying it is going to open "very soon."
