The A12 will be closed overnights for two weeks while essential roadworks are carried out.
The roadworks will be taking place in phases, with the southbound carriageway being closed from August 4 until August 15.
The northbound carriageway will then be closed between August 16 and August 29.
There will also be work taking place in both carriageways between August 22 and September 4 but it is unclear if full road closures will be in place.
All road closures will be in place from 9pm to 5am.
